Gangwon-do announced on the Feb. 26th that it has signed a business agreement with the WisCNano Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to cooperate in setting a specialized complex for the bio national-high-tech strategic industry.
The two sides held a business agreement ceremony at the Gangwon Provincial Government afternoon in the day and promised to cooperate in policy and technology exchanges and support for companies and institutions to setting bio-specialized complexes.
In addition, starting with this agreement, it plans to discover and promote linkage cooperation between universities, institutions, and companies located in the Gangwon-do and Wisconsin.
Established in 2018 to revitalize joint research on nanopharmaceuticals, develop preclinical drugs, and foster research personnel, the WisCNano Center is run by 11 faculty members, including Professor Seungpyo Hong, Ph.D., Milton J. Henrichs Chair in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and an adjunct professor at College of Pharmacy at the Yonsei University.
